Indoor Air Quality Monitoring

Concerns about Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and the study of IAQ issues is a fairly recent phenomenon. Since the energy crisis of the 1970's, buildings have been constructed much tighter which has significantly lowered the exchange indoor and outdoor air. This, along with developments in construction materials (synthetics and composites) and information technology (computers, printers and photocopiers) has resulted in unwanted contaminants becoming trapped in our indoor environments
